'Girls & Panzer' Spin-off Manga 'Motto Love Love Sakusen desu!' Gets Four-Part Movie

Production company Bandai Namco Filmworks opened an official website for an anime adaptation of Marco Nii's Girls & Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen desu! spin-off manga on Sunday, revealing the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime will screen in theaters in four parts beginning next Winter.

Nii began serializing the spin-off manga in Comic Alive magazine in May 2023. Kadokawa published the 22nd volume last August, with the 23rd volume set to be released on March 22.

The original Girls & Panzer (Girls und Panzer) television anime premiered in 12 episodes in Fall 2012, followed by the Girls & Panzer Movie (Girls und Panzer der Film) in November 2015.

The first four parts of the six-part Girls & Panzer: Saishuushou (Girls und Panzer das Finale) movie series opened in Japan in December 2017, June 2019, March 2021, and October 2023.

Honestly I feel like after the spin off series, maybe they can make a let’s say 2 hour film again like how they did against the university team but this time it’s against them in the World Cup. I think girls und panzer can end properly if they win the World Cup, thus giving birth to a new Sensha-do era. I’m not coping because I want more but since they won the tournament and defeated the university team in professional rules, they can definitely go for the World Cup. I mean remember that one person from the foundation clearly stated that the World Cup follows the same rules, annihilation rules. Maybe they can do it where it’s the university team against everyone again this time it’s a 40v40 or 50v50. This time it’s with BC freedom, and the other schools that were in the tournament when the series first started. Either way I feel that girls und panzer can’t end on the continuous cup but they must end in the World Cup.

@CocoaGalaxy It's basically a meme slice of life, which as I wrote above, plays on many of the franchise's memes and parodies the plot or characters of the original story. For example, there are many yuri bait jokes based on popular pairings. Most likely, it will turn out to be something like Isekai Quartet, but without the chibi aesthetics.

It's not so much a spin-off as an alternative version that plays on the franchise's memes. Like your typical chibi versions of popular all-female franchises, only in a more traditional format. But more movies? When haven't they finished the franchise's finale yet? If they're so desperate, why not release a new series?
