if i remember correctly, you guys said, ep10 beta testing was 1 week. ep9 was 3 week.
i think the two extra week was because ep9 is a free-roam/new mini-games bugs.

we know we have at least 2 big free-roam and 1 not that big in ep11... but the episode is bigger. so maybe circa 2 week beta testing looks?

this update already let me down. xmas update must to be at xmas.:p
Episode 11 ends just before Christmas, DPC realizes that 18 months was too long a wait, so he delivers episode 12 in December this year where the DiK’s Christmas and New Year’s Party take place. Expect plenty of romantic surprises in whatever main girl path you choose for the parties, and plenty of epic freaky sex on The Others paths. Count it, book it, done.

That's a nice fant- ahem, prediction of the future. :D You deserve a cookie or a muffin. *Warning- you can only choose one. Decision is permanent and cannot be changed later.*

Actually a lot of things are supposed to happen in ep11, even if we don't take into account the drama with Riona, Maya and Sage.
1) Back in ep10, there was talk of important winter exams. If the player fails them, will he be expelled from college?
2) We've seen the Christmas previews. We saw Jill skiing ( hello, skiing mini-game). That means we'll catch both Christmas and New Year's Eve and winter break. Or do we? Maybe, in the world of BAD, winter break starts well before Christmas, let's say December 20. And then we don't catch New Year's Eve and only Christmas. If we have Christmas and New Year's, does that mean we'll have two mini party planning games? Or will DIKs only have one party?
3) Will there be an event from the 3rd season teaser at Bella's house in this episode? Or will it be a cliffhanger?

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. :) I find that text message exchange to be as far a step down a relationship path with her, as much as the others and you don't. That's cool.

I've always divided the girls into 3 categories to. Main Girls, Side Girls (Lily, Quinn, Riona, Nicole, Zoey, and maybe Nora??), and then Other Girls.

I think what threw me was I have always (since around Ep 8) seen Riona as more of a chance to a path and an ending than Nora and Jade, so to see Jade and Nora listed and not Riona caused me great pause to ponder.
Oh in long term I see Riona as a much more solid relationship. The girls just progress at different rates and what Riona is at that time has not yet crossed the same line in mood that the others have. Nora, who has the least interactions, is much closer to relationship mentality.

That's one of BADIK's strengths. The relationships are much more different from each other than just a bunch of girls with their own looks and flavour of personality following their version of the same formula. The progress comes in different forms and magnitudes. You can't measure it with the quantity of interactions because the fluctuations in quality are so massive. Best example is Jill whose interactions are the least sexual, but signify massive progress in emotional attachment.

To me it seems clear that MC is judging the emotional seriousness of his relationships. And it's his judgement that counts not ours.

In their Swyper interactions Nicole and Nora both show a desire for a serious relationship. The line is crossed practically at the start. In long term they both have potential, but MC has to face the challenge of parenting sooner rather than later.

Jade in long term is the least likely to have a happy ending, but from the start the relationship has high stakes. It's serious in a different way. I might even describe it as toxic, but saying that it isn't serious is simply wrong. "Nothing" is a flat zero. Jade is a great big number in the negative direction.

Quinn is practically guaranteed to have a good end from a meta perspective, but if you judged the situation realistically the road to that ending would have to be a thorny one. The relationship is much less toxic than Jade's, but it's still problematic. Emotionally she fights against getting attached, but she is losing and MC knows it.

With Lily there is nothing toxic like there is with Jade and Quinn, but she has her own troubles. Instead of fighting emotional attachment she is bargaining for something she could control. Long term she has more potential than perhaps any other side girl, but at that moment she is much less attached to MC.

I'm not saying Riona feels nothing at all or that MC feels nothing at all, but it is not enough for him to wonder if there could be something more at that time.

Final Status update Episode 11

View attachment 4532623

We have finally reached the final status update for episode 11. Two days ago, the PCs finished rendering the animations, and shortly thereafter, I continued to prepare the beta builds.

Beta testing

Beta testing started yesterday, and the testers are digging into the episode. They have plenty of work ahead of them.
I've seen many newcomers ask, and to clarify, my beta tests are always private with my trusted team of testers, and it's not something available from my Patreon tiers. It's the final step before release that I carry out to bring you a more polished experience.

I've played the episode a lot, and I'm at the point where it's hard for me to spot issues on my own - my brain feels like mush. That's where the testers excel—they bring fresh eyes that will find things I missed.
I'm fixing everything that gets reported, and testers have a checklist to work through during beta testing. Everything on that list needs a tick before testing is complete, and testing will be allowed to take as long as needed. How much time is needed varies from episode to episode.

Release date announcement

My next communication with you will be the release date announcement. After I get a good sense of how much needs to be fixed during beta testing, I will announce it.
Love

Damn, I really love how healthy the development cycle is. Compared to most big and major AV games out there.

Yeah, some are slow burning like Jill, some are 100% from the get go like Sage, some seem like it came out of nowhere like Rio's. Even Quinn doesn't feel like anything for a while, I didn't notice until her hangout where she says you don't have to pay her and she cuddles MC when he passes it out.

No two relationships feel the same, like I've been playing another VN the past couple of days, and I've fucking loved it, it's moved into my top 5, but within 2 weeks all the LIs are saying I love you, when in my mind there's only one who's probably justified in saying it. Sure each one has different story beats, but it feels like every story is meant to progress at the same pace
