The violin soloist Stephen Tavani is assistant concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra and was a special guest soloist in this performance.
The Golden State Youth Orchestra is an music education organization in the San Francisco Bay Area for K-12 students. The orchestra in this video is their highest-level Senior Symphony, consists of mostly high school and some junior high students.
Dr. Yun Song Tay is the music director of the Golden State Youth Orchestra.
This concert was at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center in California, on March 29, 2025.
I captured the video with three Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. I had one set of Neumann microphones on stage to capture the solo violin and another pair of Rode NT5 microphones in the middle of the auditorium.
