Reviews for "Hands of War RPG"

Very Good... BUUUT...

I found a small... well actually a BIG bug, after you get so much armor, the weaker people start to do negative damage, thus leading you to be able to get over your max hp, I currently have 30000/1500 hp and rising.

There needs to be more faction quests for the main conflict (shadow vs alliance) as you end up with like 1600 points and have to grind the rest, which at 4-5 per kill is NOT fun.

Warriors require too much to be put into the intellegence stat what with the basic attack taking mp, haven't played the other classes yet, so I dunno how it is with mage and archer.

Whats the point in having STR on the Archer equipment, if thier damage stat is AGI, unless STR does more than 'increases attack of melee weapons'.

Nice

Very good game, however, I didn't enjoy walking every where. If you could make a teleport button or acquire a teleportation device that would be great.

Great looking but takes a bad dive.

First that I tryed this game I got pretty excited because it looked pretty damn good but after the starting rush I noticed that it has a shiny outfit but nothing more. I think this game has loads of potential with it's system that really shows a lot of work put into how good it looks and how smoothly it runs but the game lacks so much in content. The missions are all the same - Go <direction> and kill <unit> until <number/item> - but the still need to be done to get money and equipment. The core quest is just to kill a bunch of people and where the hell is the roleplay element when you don't talk with anyone but just do what you're told to do? Only way you can make the game different is by choosing what faction you whack and what not and even that gets limited when you want to keep both merchs and mercs friendly enough to buy equipment from them. RPG is more about having choices on a more personal level then just choosing sides randomly between somewhat unknown factions.

Also the quests would get more complex this way. Sure some quest about rescuing a kitten from a cave sounds lame but give 20 choices of a quest like these for starters with options how to deal with it like do you actually save the cat or do you just tell that it was dead when found. That might give some character development and then giving the factions actually some background and history could give a feel that you're decision between them actually mattered a little. What happened to all the villagers anyway? There's some empty crop fields and shacks but no villagers in sight or have they all joined a faction or just got bored about all the fight between them and left? Maybe there could be some villager and some shadow faction member stole his gold locket and this villager gives you a quest about it? That would give some other reason for the attacking then just because they're all generally ev0l. Also having some quests where you get to fight with some npc might be nice so it wouldn't seem that there's just camps of bored soldiers who lure some passing strangers to attack the other camp with money.

Variety is something that could be needed also in the playable characters . Ok having the classic 3 of warrior, archer and mage is plenty and if you ask me there doesn't need to be any more characters, but could those characters atleast be a bit different from each other? They all have basic, frost, stunning and double damage attacks. I don't know if there's more because I didn't care to check any further. The only difference between the characters is that warrior can't hit and run and even that ain't being balanced enough with the stun. Archer can run around and just use normal and frost attack and enemy never catches him. Warrior goes to stun one enemy from a group of 3 and gets stunned and eaten by the other 2. The fighting system in this game also needs some fix because now it's all taking a ranged character and going hit n' run without any other tactic and leaving the rest of the skills completely useless. </rant>

It seems like I'm blamming this game but as I said first it looks great but it could be SO much more if you want to put that much more work to it.

And please people stop making nonsense reviews. I checked few last pages of them and there being a bunch of oneliners like "THIS GAME IS TEH ROCKZORZ OMG 10/10 5/5" and so on. The rating of games doesn't mean anything anymore with reviews like that. I don't care if someone gives full stars if he thinks that a game is good but I want to see WHY. I can't even realize the people who write that the game was frustrating and boring like Kappaho here and gives "only" 9/10 5/5 and then there's the players who can't be even arsed to read the fucking manual but still find the time to tell how the game sucks because they don't know how to play it.

whoa!!!!!!!!!! HUGE GLITCH
