In episode 2 Kanie did something which is very rare for a anime male protagonist to do. He stood up for himself against Sento. You can tell he was actually angry with Sento who constantly threatened him with the gun and takes away his free time and with the way she asks people for favor, it's no wonder Kanie was very hesitant to help but deep down he really wanted to.

I like the mc too but not the Anime, kinda
